  • United States Embassy Nassau

  • Chamber of Commerce
    The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation is a non-profit organization which seeks to drive and support economic development and growth, by bridging policy gaps between the private & government sectors. The Chamber educates members and the wider business community on the developments and issues that impact them.

  • Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute (BTVI)
    The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute is the first technical school in the Bahamas dedicated to providing learning opportunities that enable individuals to be globally competitive and economically independent.

  • Small Business Development Centre (SBDC) Bahamas
    The Small Business Development Centre (SBDC) is an initiative that advocates for and support the evolution of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in The Bahamas. SBDC aims to increase the ability of our sector to provide employment, diversify wealth and drive the development of a robust and resilient economy.

  • Bahamas Development Bank (BDB)
    The Bahamas Development Bank, a wholly owned government institution, was established in 1974 by an Act of Parliament. Its core principle is to promote industrial, agricultural and commercial development; facilitate participation in approved economic enterprises; and stimulate and enhance the economic development of The Bahamas.

  • Venture Capital: Bahamas Entrepreneurial Venture Fund (BEVFL)
    The Bahamas Entrepreneurial Venture Fund makes loan or equity funding available to start­up businesses.

  • Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA)
    Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) is the institution of the Inter­American System that provides technical cooperation, innovation and specialized knowledge to contribute to the competitive and sustainable development of agriculture in the Americas and to improve the lives of rural dwellers in the member countries.

  • Civil Society Bahamas (CBS)
    Civil Society Bahamas (CBS) is an umbrella organization representing the interests of all the non-profit and non-governmental organizations in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Government Statement on Small Business Development: The "seven pillars" of the Government's policy to improve the enabling environment for small business are increasing direct financing to the MSME sector; enhancing both business and development support for MSMEs through innovative programmes; supporting entrepreneurship and MSME development within marginalised groups; fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation; removing or minimising political interference within MSME enabling agencies; and promoting linkages between Bahamian MSMEs and the economy's export industries.
