Chile- Trinidad and Tobago
  Background and Negotiations
   

In March 2010, the presidents of Chile and Trinidad and Tobago entrusted their respective experts to start formal negotiations on a possible bilateral trade agreement. They are expected to have a joint text by the end of the first half of 2010. The first round of negotiations for the Partial Scope Agreement between Chile and Trinidad and Tobago took place between August 17 and 19, 2021. The second round of negotiations for a Partial Scope Agreement (PSA) between Chile and Trinidad and Tobago concluded on January 2, 2022. During the three days of meetings of this second round of negotiations, the following technical groups met: Rules of Origin and Customs Procedures, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures and Technical Barriers to Trade, Trade Facilitation, Legal Affairs, Market Access, Competition Policy, and Business Resources.

The third round of negotiations concluded on December 15, 2022. The fourth round of negotiations, carried out in a hybrid format, ended on June 1, 2023.
