On November 17, 2016 Peru and Indonesia concluded a joint feasibility study for the negotiation
of a free trade agreement.
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) of Peru announced the start of the first round of negotiations for the Trade Agreement between Peru and Indonesia. This round was held in Lima from May 27 to 30, in hybrid format.
Peru and Indonesia held the Third Round of Negotiations for a Trade Agreement from September 17 to 20, 2024, key chapters were negotiated to promote commercial exchange and mutual investment, including the working groups on Market Access, Rules of Origin, Customs and Trade Facilitation, Technical Barriers to Trade, and Legal and Institutional Issues.
