  Background and Negotiations
   

The Pacific Alliance and Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore launched negotiations toward deepening their trade partnerships in October 2017. The first round of free trade negotiations took place in Cali, Colombia on October 23 to 27, 2017. The second round of negotiations took place on the Gold Coast, Australia from 29 January to 2 February, 2018. The third round of negotiations took place in Chile on March 3-9, 2018. On July 27, 2021, the Pacific Alliance and Singapore concluded negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement.
