Chile-Dominican Republic
  Background and Negotiations
   

In January 2010, the first meeting of the Joint Study Group (JSG) of the delegations of Chile and the Dominican Republic was held to assess the feasibility of a possible bilateral free trade agreement. Between the 29th and 30th November 2010, the second meeting of the JSG was held in which they finalized the Feasibility Study for a Trade Agreement between the two countries.

On 14 January 2015, Chile and Dominican Republic agreed to initiate free trade agreement talks. Three months later, delegations from Chile and Dominican Republic met in Santiago de Chile, in order to resume free trade agreement talks.
