The first round
of negotiations for a free trade agreement between
Colombia and Israel took place from 12 to 15 March
2012 in
Jerusalem, Israel. The second round was held in Bogota, Colombia from 04 to 07 June 2012. The
third round took place in Jerusalem on 10-13 September 2012. The fourth round was held from
26 to 29 November 2012 in Bogota, and the fifth round of negotiations took place in Jerusalem
from 07 to 11 April 2013. On 10 June 2013, in Jerusalem, Colombia and Israel signed a joint
declaration to officially conclude their free trade negotiations. The Free Trade Agreement between
Colombia and Israel was signed on 30 September 2013. The Colombia-Israel Free Trade Agreement
entered into force on August 11, 2020.
