On 8 August 2007 Mexico and South Korea agreed to resume free trade negotiations that
have been suspended since June 2006. The first round of negotiations took place on 09 December 2007.
On March 1, 2022 Mexico and Korea agreed to resume talks on Korea-Mexico FTA.
