The first round of negotiations for a Partial Scope Agreement between El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago was held in San Salvador, El Salvador, from 28 to 31 October 2013. The second round took place in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 20 to 23 January 2014. The third round of negotiations was held in San Salvador, from 7 to 11 April 2014. The fourt round of negotiations took place in El Salvador on October 6-10, 2014. Simultaneously, both countries are negotiating the signing of a Bilateral Investment Treaty and a Tourism Co-operation Agreement. After four rounds of negotiations, El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago concluded the Partial Scope Trade Agreement (PSTA) that will strengthen the trade and cooperation ties between the parties. The legal instrument includes Market Access, Rules of Origin, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures, Technical Barriers to Trade, Trade Remedies and Dispute Settlement Disciplines.
